Hi! I’m Michelle Kester Ho — a Health Coach and Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I help people break free from cycles of binge eating, emotional eating, and dieting so they can create a loving, sustainable relationship with food and their body.

My Recovery Story:
Binge Eating to Food Freedom

When I became a fitness trainer in 2016, it was because I loved how exercise and nutrition had enhanced my life — and I wanted to share that joy. But behind the scenes, things weren’t as healthy as they looked…

Although I “looked healthy” on the outside, I was secretly struggling with binge eating, food guilt, and body shame. I could eat “perfectly” all day, only to end up eating until I felt sick at night. I tried everything to stop — diets, gut health protocols, books on addiction, group coaching programs — but nothing worked. Many times, I threw away my binge foods, only to buy them back later when my willpower ran out…

But my willpower wasn’t the problem. The problem was that I was undernourished, ignoring my body’s signals, and stuck in a restrictive mindset.

In 2018, after more than eight years of trying to fix this on my own, I hired a 1:1 coach who finally helped me break free. Over the next three years, I learned to:

  • Listen to my body’s cues instead of ignoring them

  • Eat enough to support my energy and mood

  • Let go of food guilt

  • Build a way of eating healthy that I could actually enjoy for life

That transformation not only restored my health and self-trust — it gave me my life back.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to help others experience that same freedom.

I teach what I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN as a teen and young adult struggling with disordered eating and a plethora of other health problems.

I’ve now helped dozens of clients from age 13 to 72 break free from years - or even decades - of binge eating and yo-yo dieting.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve tried every diet or weight loss program out there; You CAN break free and build LASTING healthy habits that you truly love and want to do.

I believe you can break free, and you are welcome to ‘borrow my belief’ until you believe in yourself, too.

My Professional Journey

I didn’t just recover — I committed to learning everything I could to help others do the same. Over the past decade, I’ve combined personal experience with professional training in fitness, nutrition, and nervous system regulation.

Timeline of My Path:

  • 2016–2024 – Functional Fitness Trainer
    Helped clients move without pain, get stronger, run long distances, pass physical tests, and keep up with their kids.

  • 2017 – My Personal Recovery From Binge Eating
    Began self-educating on nutrition for binge eating recovery.

  • 2018 – Breathwork & Qigong Certification
    Learned tools to support stress reduction, body awareness, and nervous system regulation.

  • 2018 – Binge Eating Recovery
    Fully recovered through 1:1 coaching, ending 10+ years of food struggles.

  • 2021 – Created my Four-Key Approach to Recovery
    Began coaching clients 1:1 using my unique method; helped dozens break free from binge eating.

  • 2023 – Certified Safe and Sound Practitioner
    Learned advanced nervous system regulation strategies for chronic issues (including long COVID) through collaboration with a psychologist.

  • 2024 – Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
    Expanded my practice to help clients with sleep issues, stress, digestive health, blood sugar regulation, and more through functional, individualized nutrition.

My Mission

My mission is to replace the shame and fear-mongering of the health industry with compassion and curiosity.

You deserve a safe space to learn about your body without judgment — to discover how to care for it with respect and to find joy in being alive. When we deeply care for our bodies, we don’t just get healthier; we gain more energy and compassion to share with others, and that makes the world a better place.

I believe healthy food and healthy habits should be fun and delicious — because if they aren’t, they’re not worth doing (and they’re probably not helping your health either!). When we nourish our bodies in ways that truly feel good to us, we naturally want to keep it up — no shame or force needed, just genuine desire.
